Guided visit to Historic Kings Lynn with Andrew Allan
Monday 09 March 2020

Visit to Kings Lynn on Monday March 9th 2020

Following the success of our Spring trip to the historic sites of Norfolk with Andrew Allan, Andrew has agreed to take us on guided a tour of Kings Lynn.

The visit will include:

  • St Margaret's Church was given the status of Minster by the Bishop of Norwich in 2011. It is one of Britain's finest church facades with a delightful interior, highly rated by Simon Jenkins in his celebrated guide.
  • Story of Lynn Museum and Exhibition: including the famous 14th century King John Cup.
  • Hanseatic Warehouse: Medieval building, the only surviving one in the country.
  • A short walking tour will include the Customs House and George Vancouver statue as well some attractive and interesting historic buildings in the town.
  • A coach ride will give us views of the town across the river from the West.

Cost £41 - to include a 2 course lunch at the Dukes Head Hotel.

We leave Rushmere car park at 08.15am
